Overwatch Halloween Terror 2020

While a narrative designer on Overwatch 2, I also supported live events in Overwatch, including Halloween Terror 2020.

In addition to naming cosmetics, writing unlockable voice lines, and writing patch notes, I helped add two new heroes to the PvE mode Junkenstein’s Revenge: Ashe (The Outlaw) and Baptiste (The Renegade). To support these additions, I wrote many new conversations between these characters and others, along with voice lines corresponding to important gameplay moments. I also worked with voice actors to record these lines. Some examples of my writing for this assignment are below (in a community-made YouTube video & in text).

Ashe (The Outlaw): We have a lot in common, Renegade. Both of us are on the run.

Baptiste (The Renegade): The difference is, I’m running away from trouble.

Ashe: Where’s the fun in that?

Ashe: Don’t trust anyone. And uh… never miss an opportunity to wash your socks.
